Boasting about a 200 percent year-to-date increase in sales, Subaru America announces the official pricing of the 2014MY BRZ range, which is exactly the same as 2013 model in every way. 2014 Subaru BRZ price is increased by a mere 100 bucks, but you can blame that on inflation. It is still very much a 25 grand sports car.
That is if you choose to buy the base model, which is perfectly fine and equipped with most of the things you need. What you need in a small and affordable sports car is the engine, manual gearbox, and rear-wheel-drive with TORSEN limited-slip differential. And the BRZ offers the best of all of the above. Granted, the engine could do with a bit more horsepower, but the gearbox and that chassis, which seems to be tuned by God O’mighty himself, are just perfect.
Those who want a bit more luxury added to mix can go for the BRZ Limited, which comes with a body-color trunk spoiler, standard fog light and Alcantara trimmed interior and Keyless Access, plus Aha infotainment system. Other features of the Limited model worth mentioning, which the Premium model doesn’t get, include a dual-zone automatic climate, standard All-Weather Package, security system with immobilizer.
