Infiniti released today the first official picture of its brand-new concept model, to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. It is called the Q30, and according to Infiniti, it is a blend of many things. It is a fusion car trying to start a new niche in car design.
What they have done here with the Infiniti Q30 Concept is designing a car with the dynamic design and sportiness of a coupe, the roominess of a hatch and the higher stance of a crossover. We’re not sure about the ‘dynamic coupe’ part, but it sure does look like a jacked-up hatchback on large wheels.
The looks of the car are inspired by the Infiniti Q50 at the front, adapting the brand’s new corporate look with slim headlights and a large, distinguished grille. The profile boasts many twisting lines and curves, as seen before on a number of Infiniti concept cars.
The Infiniti Q30 Concept will also introduce, according to the company, new standards in terms of materials, fit and finish, craftsmanship and performance. We’ll see about that at IAA.
