Infiniti is rapidly expanding its lineup by adding new models, and updating the existing ones. One thing they haven’t tries their hands at yet is making a station wagon. They have a lot of SUVs, but no estate car. Well, if this rendering is anything to go by, they really should give it some thought.
This computer- generated image by X-Tomi Design shows a wagon version of the new Q50 saloon car. The Infiniti Q50 Sportwagon, as they call, mixes the great looks of the sedan version with decent practicality brought by the wagon shape. The firm has been trying to get its feet grounded in Europe for a while. The addition of a wagon to the range can help with that goal, as Europeans are very fond of these cars.
Infiniti Q50is available with a 3.7-liter aluminum-alloy DOHC 24-valve V6 rated at 328 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, a hybrid system with a 3.5-liter 24-valve DOHC aluminum-alloy V6 and compact laminated lithium-ion battery for a total 354 horsepower, and a 2.2 liter diesel with 168 horsepower. Also available is a choice of rear-wheel drive or Intelligent All-Wheel Drive and in a selection of trim levels, including Sport models.
