The large and fearsome Toyota Sequoia has been on sale with minimal changes for getting on four years now. They have just announced the new 2014 version of the car, and as always, it gets a bunch of new equipment, and that’s about it.

You do still get a lot of car for your money though with the 2014 Toyota Sequoia. The full-size SUV with seating for up to eight adults offers a 381-hp 5.7-liter V8 standard for all models and up to 7,400 lbs. towing capacity. The new model adds in SR5 grade the new Entune Audio Plus system, while the Limited gets Entune Premium Audio and the Platinum grade has Entune Premium JBL Audio.

What’s interesting about the new Entune systems that are fitted to most 2014MY Toyotas is that it features ahigh resolution 6.1-inch touch-screen display, AM/FM CD player with MP3/WMA playback capability, USB and iPod connectivity, eight speakers, SiriusXM Radio, and most importantly, the Entune App Suite that expands music choices with Internet radio, including iHeartRadio and Pandora.

The standard kit on the 2014 Toyota Sequoia meanwhile includes eight-passenger seating; tilt/telescoping steering wheel; engine immobilizer with alarm; direct tire pressure monitoring system; automatic tri-zone air conditioning; illuminated entry system; power windows, locks and sliding back window; keyless entry; rear wiper and defogger; cruise control, and mud guards.

And as for the dafety, you get Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Traction Control (TRAC) and Smart Stop Technology (SST). On 4WD models, TRAC is replaced by A-TRAC (Active-Traction Control), all standard.
