During this year’s Pebble Beach Concours in Monterey, Matt Farah from The Smoking Tire got to thoroughly test the new 2014 Corvette Stingray during a 300 mile drive. What’s more, he already owns a Corvette himself, and knows this cars inside and out. So it is fair to say that he is qualified to judge if the new model is any good.

Well, turns out the new ‘Vette is such a cracking car in every way that it’s actually surprising. Honestly, this is the first American car that you will struggle to find anything wrong with. As it’s become customary, Matt’s Corvette Stingray review begins with some meaty burnouts:

The car in this video is fitted with the $2,500 Z51 Performance Pack. It includes many good stuff like 19 x 8.5-inch front and 20 x 10-inch rear forged aluminum wheels, Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, 45mm-piston Bilstein dampers for more aggressive body control and track capability, magnetic ride control, electronic limited-slip differential (eLSD), integral brake, differential and transmission cooling, as well as a unique aero package that further improves high-speed stability.
