Five-Star NCAP Safety Rating for SEAT Leon ST

SEAT Leon ST 600x370 at Five Star NCAP Safety Rating for SEAT Leon ST

The new 2014 SEAT Leon ST reinforces its position as a nice, spacious, affordable, and now safe family estate, as it gets a five-star safety rating from EuroNCAP. There are a lot of five-star cars out there these days, but the Leon’s scores are what set it apart.

The mid-size estate scored 94% rating for adult occupant protection and 92% for child occupant, which are among the highest in this class of vehicles.

SEAT Leon ST, just like its hatchback sibling, benefits from a long list of standard and available safety features, such as front passenger airbag deactivation, to facilitate installation of a rear-facing child seat, helped achieve the child occupant score, while extensive use of high strength and ultra-high strength steels in key areas of the chassis ensure that the Leon ST remains as stable as possible during a collision. NCAP also applauded the car for its multi-collision brake and lane-keeping assistant technology.

Going on sale in the UK from January 2014, the SEAT Leon ST starts at £16,675 for a 1.2 TSI 105 PS model in S specification.
