The social media is such an important factor in publicity these days that some car makers like Ford are launching their cars in that environment. This new Ford EcoSport Limited Edition, to be available in Europe, will have its own sales campaign on Facebook.
As with most limited edition models, what makes this EcoSport special is the amount of kit that is fitted to it as standard. It comes with a special equipment package that adds 17in alloy wheels, leather trim, and an array of advanced technologies, including Ford SYNC AppLink system with smartphone integration and voice control. That’s what the Facebook generation wants.
Another feature of the Ford EcoSport Limited Edition, that has never been fitted to any other car ever, is 12 months of unlimited audio book downloads from Audioteka direct to the car!
Ford EcoSport Limited Edition is limited to 500 units for the whole of Europe, of which 120 are destined for the UK. To acquire one, you have to follow a link on Facebook which leads you to a configurator. You can choose between a 125PS 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine and a 91PS 1.5-litre diesel engine. Prices start from £16,995.
The Limited Edition launch campaign, the Ford EcoSport will hit the UK showrooms as Titanium series featuring 16in alloy wheels (with alloy spare wheel and cover), front fog lamps, silver roof rails, power door mirrors, keyless entry and Ford PowerStart.
