The world is waiting for that moment of truth when finally the LaFerrari, McLaren P1, and Porsche 918 face each other and slug it out for the title of the world’s best hyper car. The Porsche and the McLaren are pretty much ready, but judging by this latest footage coming from Maranello, Ferrari still has some more work to do.

Here we have two LaFerraris singing along the Fiorano test track, putting the 960 horsepower output of their hybrid powertrains to test at Ferrari’s own circuit. They look very fast, and very loud:

What we love about Maranello is the fact Ferrari seems to own the whole place. These prototypes drive on their own from factory to the track on public streets, do their test, and then head back home. This is no something, we imagine, that would be allowed in, say, UK. Lotus doesn’t do that in Norfolk!
