Since their global launch in 2010, McLaren Automotive has been constantly extending and reinforcing its worldwide network of dealers and representatives. Now in September 2013 they announced a major leap forward by officially launching in China, one of the biggest markets for super expensive luxury sports car which is McLaren’s specialty.

Prior to the launch, they have been busy appointing the retailers in major cities of Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu and Guangzhou. They will be offering the British manufacturer’s entire range, including the 12C, 12C Spider and McLaren P1, plus their bespoke and personalization programs.

McLaren looks at China as a major opportunity to increase its sales number. They expect the Asia Pacific region to account for one third of global sales for McLaren, with China contributing a growing number of orders. In accordance with the growth plan, McLaren set itself an ambitious target from the outset, to launch a new model or derivative every year from launch. They’ve kept that promise so far, but it’ll be getting harder and harder, which is why they need the cash to come in fast.
