Rolls-Royce released new material showing off the Wraith, their most dynamic model ever. Conceived as a coupe version of the four-door Ghost, the Rolls-Royce Wraith uses the same BMW underpinnings and the same basic powertrain as the Ghost, but it is a totally different animal.

This Roller has 624 hp and nearly 600 lb-ft of torque, and that gives it a rather brisk performance. It is still a full-on Rolls-Royce, a proper aristocrat – you probably have to address it Count or Baron or something – which means you get all the luxury in the world and the supplest ride possible. But it is also fast.

Wraith debuts the most intelligent drive train ever to feature in a Rolls-Royce, including the application of ground-breaking technologies like Satellite Aided Transmission (SAT). It sounds odd, but basically, it uses GPS data to predict the driver’s next move and automatically select the right gear for the road ahead. You don’t have to worry about that. You just need to know that it goes from 0 to 60 in 4.4 seconds.

RR Wraith also features Active Cruise Control system with radar-camera sensors, and iBrake 6 function that uses information from the radar sensor and front camera to help the driver stop quickly and with maximum efficiency should an emergency situation arise, as well as top view cameras that offer a 360 degree view of the car’s surroundings.
