The new, face-lifted, 2014 Toyota Land Cruiser is gearing up for its UK launch in December as the Japanese car maker confirms the final specs and prices of the car. Starting from £34,995, the new Land Cruiser comes with new looks, one diesel engine, three trim levels, choice of 3 or 5 doors, and 5 or 7 seats.
Among the highlights of the new model is the Toyota Touch 2 touchscreen multimedia system available for the first time, featuring Google Street View – a UK industry first for Toyota with this technology. The new system improves screen resolution by a factor of four, and introduces smartphone style ‘drag and swipe’ gesture technology for improved operation.
2014 Toyota Land Cruiser also gets two new options, including the £1,360 Pre-Crash Safety Pack with adaptive cruise control, and the £1,650 Off-Road Pack, which includes off-road driver assistance technology available as standard on Invincible grade. Icon and Invincible grades can be specified with two-tone leather upholstery as a ‘no-cost’ option.
