At this year’s Tokyo Motor Show, Subaru will unveil a new tourer/crossover kind of car in form of the Levorg Tourer, the silhouette of which is showcased by these dark teaser images. The Levrog is not a mere concept, but a production project.
In fact, the development work is already underway and the car will be ready to be launched in 2014. Practicality is the name of the game, since the Levrog is conceived as an estate car. But Subaru emphasizes on the fact that it is a sports tourer, meaning that it’ll also be fun an engaging to drive.
Being a concept car, the Subaru Levorg Tourer is also very environmentally friendly. The car is powered by a 1.6-liter Horizontally-Opposed direct injection turbo “DIT” engine, and features many innovative fuel saving and safety features.
Levorg Tourer Concept will be part of a seven-car lineup Subaru is bringing to Tokyo. The rest include the Subaru Viziv Evolution Concept, Subaru Cross Sport Design Concept, Subaru Crossover 7 Concept, Subaru Forester X-Break, Subaru BRZ GT300, the production model Subaru BRZ Premium Sport and Subaru XV Hybrid.
