Following a preview earlier this week, Lexus released official images and details of the new, face-lifted version of the CT 200h premium hybrid hatchback. The car was unveiled today at the Guangzhou motor show in China boasting revised styling, upgraded interior, greater comfort level, and improved refinement.
On the styling front the biggest highlight is the Spindle Grille at the front, designed on the CT to give the car a low and sporty look at the front and match the wider front track. At the back distinctive L-shaped reflectors and a black lower centre section are added, and on the sides, you get new 10-spoke 16 and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Moving inside you see plenty of features borrowed from the IS sedan, including the steering wheel and instrument binnacle with an integral 4.2-inch TFT screen. The Lexus Media Display and Lexus Premium Navigation system are updated for ease of use, while the sound system is upgraded with – for the first time – bamboo fibre, plant opal and charcoal for greater sound quality.
Mechanically, the 2014 Lexus CT 200h Facelift remain the same as before, but thanks to the new wheels, the CO2 level is dropped by 5 or 6 g/km.
The F sport package for Lexus CT 200h is also updated using bits form the IS F sports sedan. It comes with a meaner spindle grille, 10-spoke 17-inch wheels, aluminium pedals, scuff plates and perforated leather steering wheel and shift lever trim.
