Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Legacy, Subaru America is bringing the awesome Legacy Concept to the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show. The standard, although a very good car, has always been a bit forgettable. That is not the case with this concept model.

Featuring a custom Ocean Silver Metallic paint scheme, a new hexagonal grille and a sharper hawk-eye headlamp design, as well as a coupe-like silhouette, the Subaru Legacy Concept is anything but forgettable. Add to the mix some massively flared wheel arches and a set of 21-inch wheels, and you have you to say, it might even be a bit too strongly flavored for a family car.

The Legacy Concept does preview the styling cues for future Legacy models, but chances are the production version is going to be toned down and sort of restrained. Still, it’s good that Subaru is moving towards more exciting designs for their average sedan models. They used to be pretty bland, you know.
