Infiniti Q50 Gets EuroNCAP 5-Star Safety Rating

Infiniti Q50 NCAP 600x400 at Infiniti Q50 Gets EuroNCAP 5 Star Safety Rating

Unsurprisingly, the all-new Infiniti Q50 sports luxury sedan managed to pass the latest series of EuroNCAP crash tests with flying colors, snatching all five available stars in the process. This achievement is perfectly timely, as the car is getting ready for its pan-European launch. The NCAP rating will be huge feather in its cap.

The Q50 passed the tests with scores of 86 per cent for driver/passenger protection and 85 per cent for child protection. It was also praised for its standard ‘active’ bonnet effective in helping safeguard pedestrians, and its standard and available high-tech safety gear.

Depending on the model, the Infiniti Q50 comes with systems like Back-up Collision Intervention, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Departure Prevention, Blind Spot Intervention and Blind Spot Warning, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Forward Emergency Braking, and Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection.

Those are is in addition to the standard safety features, including Seat belt reminder system for all seats, Speed limiter, Active pop-up bonnet, Electronic Stability Control, Active Trace Control, LED fog lights front and rear, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Hill start assist, Six airbags, Rear view camera and front and rear parking sensors.

All that means you have to be a complete numpty to crash this car. But even if you are, it will protect you from yourself.
