Lexus released the first official images of the facelifted version of its CT 200h premium hybrid hatchback ahead of the car’s at the 2013 Guangzhou Motor Show in China. Lexus didn’t release any details about the car’s technical specifications, which lead us to believe changes are only cosmetic.
They just go so far as mentioning that Lexus CT 200h Facelift features a new adoption of the Lexus signature ‘spindle grille, revised rear fascia, and new wheel design. Technically, the new CT must have the same Hybrid Synergy Drive system as the old model with a 1.8 litre petrol engine, a powerful electric motor, a 42kW generator, a high performance, 202V, 27kW battery, a power control unit, and a power split device which employs a planetary gear set to combine and reallocate power from the engine, electric motor and generator according to operational requirements.
Further details will be released in a press conference ahead of the car’s unveiling at Guangzhou.
