Renault today unveiled the latest member of the revised Megane family in form of the Megane CC (Coupe Cabriolet). This is one of the most affordable cars in the European market with a folding hardtop, which by the way features a panoramic glass, like a Mercedes SL.
The 2014 Renault Megane CC gets the same facelift operation that changed the character of the entire Megane family. The highlights of the new design include a new bumper which incorporates the new distinctive Renault diamond set to a gloss black background, and revised headlights. It looks kinda showy, but then Meganes always have controversial looks. It’s part of their character.
The Renault Megane Coupe Cabriolet Facelift also comes as standard with Renault R-Link multimedia system, featuring chrome-trimmed seven-inch (18cm) display which functions in association with a centre console-mounted joystick. A line-up of connected applications, such as e-mail or weather forecasts, is also available through the R-Link store.
As mentioned, the Megane CC comes with a panoramic glass roof. It features a standard fixed glass wind deflector which eliminates wind buffeting up to 55 mph. If you want your hair to stay intact after that you have to order the optional removable mesh deflector screen that allows two occupants traveling alone to benefit from extra protection against buffeting at all speeds.
Pricing and specs of the 2014 Renault Megane CC will be announced closer to launch in January 2014.
