American pop star Katy Perry hooks up with yet another car maker for a publicity gig. She’s done this a couple of times before with great success, but it is not likely that Katy is a huge car fan. We reckon she’s more fond of the big, fat checks that car makers often write to hire celebrities. Not that there is anything wrong with it.
This time it’s Infiniti who has hires Katy Perry to perform as a special guest at the 2014 Infiniti China Brand Festival in Beijing. This will be Perry’s first-ever performance in China, and it’s going to be a big one as several thousand guests are expected at the Beijing indoor Olympic Stadium on Saturday, January 11.
The award-winning artist will performat the event hit songs such as “Roar,” “Teenage Dream” and “Firework.”
China is one of the most important markets for Infiniti, which is why they decided it’s worth spending big bucks on this event. This will help the brand to associate itself with cool and trendy stuff, which in turn attracts younger buyers. Infiniti has some models, such as the long wheelbase versions of the popular QX50 Crossover and the all-new Q50 Sports Sedan, designed specifically with Chinese customers in mind.
