Releasing this teaser image, Lexus officially confirmed the debut of the F version of the new RC at the 2014 Detroit Motor Show (NAIAS). The Japanese manufacturer will continue its pursuit of performance with the RC F, which is said to replace the IS F, and offer a higher level of sophistication.
The new addition to the F portfolio is also said to be ‘engineered from scratch’ which probably means Lexus is admitting their previous efforts were rubbish and they had to start all over again! In fairness though, the IS F has been a pretty decent performance saloon, considering it was Lexus’ first crack at making such a vehicle.
The mighty LFA might have been an expensive and seemingly pointless exercise, but its spirit is living on in cars like this Lexus RC F. That’s what gives this car a fighting chance.
We keep our ears to the ground for any further details about the Lexus RC F. Stay tuned.
