Portuguese footballers have a penchant for expensive machinery. Cristiano Ronaldo has proved this time and again. Now the world-class manager Jose Mourinho is getting into the super car game, and since he is not the kind of man satisfied with mediocre success or ordinary stuff, he’s building his very own car.

Well, it is a bespoke super car named after Mourinho, designed and being built by German tuner Mansory, the creator of some of the world’s most exclusive cars – whose typical customers are Emirs, Princes, and high-profile celebrities – in partnership with Raff House, a dealer of all things luxury.

Not much has been revealed on the Mourinho Supercar, apart from the fact that it has a 750 horsepower engine, made entirely from carbon fiber, and a spoiler from chrome-plated aluminum of a special shade which is very difficult to manufacture.

The Mourinho Supercar will be revealed in full in 2014. The teaser image they’ve released of the car certainly looks pretty intriguing. Can’t wait to see the real thing. Production will be limited to only 11 units, with the first one, obviously, going to Mr. Mourinho. Not bad going for a man who started his managing career as an interpreter for Sir Bobby Robson.

Commenting on his super car, Jose Mourinho said: “This is incredible – to have your own car in the most straightforward sense of the term, a car built to fulfill all your desires and needs. I’ve always dreamed of a car uniting the best of Ferrari and Aston Martin – a powerful engine with perfect comfort and class. This is what the Raff House supercar is expected to be like.”
