Porsche is apparently a bit nervous that the new Macan would still the thunder of the Cayenne and cause harm to its market. After all, the Macan offers 90 percent of what the Cayenne offers, at half the price. So they came up with a new special model, the Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition.
The Platinum treatment is only available on the V6 models, both petrol and diesel, and features Platinum Silver Metallic exterior appointments as well as a two-tone interior. On the outside this model is distinguished by the virtue of its platinum silver grille inserts, window surrounds, and rear spoiler and tailgate accenting. New design 19-inch wheels complete the effect of the glittering new parts.
In terms of features and equipment, the Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition enjoys the benefits of bi-xenon headlights, Power Steering Plus, and Parking Assist system.
Those interested in performance can go for the V6 petrol engine that offers 300 horsepower, and those who care more about economy can choose the 245 horsepower diesel unit.
