The debut of the 2015 Ford Mustang triggered a storm of virtual designs, each trying to gives us an early look at many different variants of the car that are sure to follow the standard version. Here’s what the Shelby GT350 might look like, when it eventually goes into production a year or so from now.
Apart from the iconic racing stripes that are the signature dish of every Shelby Mustang, the 2016 Shelby GT350 gets, at least in this rendering, a massive front splitter, side skirts, different grille and side vents, and, presumably, a rear diffuser, as well as a bootlid spoiler and a pair of large tailpipes. That blue sills along with the GT350 lettering is another sign that this car belongs to a distinguished family.
As for the engine, the GT350 is likely to get a beefed-up version of the 5.0 liter V8 in the Mustang GT. It makes 420 horsepower in its standard tune, but a bit of fiddling, and it sure will be able to churn out a lot more.
