Not one day into it, and we’ve already seen the open-top and now the Superleggera versions of the new Lamborghini Huracan thanks to spot on renderings. This Superleggera model shown here looks the absolute business with its juicy red paint job, carbon roof, and the fixed rear spoiler.
In this color combo the car has something of the old Gallardo Super Trofeo about it. It looks fantastic, and judging by the specs of the standard Huracan, it should be pretty awesome to drive as well. To see the real Lamborghini Huracan Superleggera, however, you need to be really patient, as it probably won’t come out sooner than 2016.
The Superleggera version of the Huracan, or any car for that matter, should be at least 80 kilogram lighter than the standard version. The outgoing Gallardo Superleggera was a full 100 kg lighter, and the best thing about it was that you couldn’t really see how they’d shed that weight. It should also have more power than the normal model, but not much. 50 or 60 more horsepower sounds like a reasonable amount to expect. With those looks and something like 660 hp, the Lamborghini Huracan Superleggera will be a formidable rival for the Ferrari 458 Speciale.
