Fiat announced the launch of a new edition Panda in the UK market called the Antarctica Edition. This super Panda comes with 4×4 system and a whole host of extras fitted to make the car more versatile and usable, and also give it more visual appeal.

Being an all-wheel drive model, the Fiat Panda 4×4 Antarctica naturally looks different than the normal models, what with the special plastic mouldings and the raised suspension. This version also gets a diamond-finish 15-inch alloy wheels and special badges, and it comes only white with a black roof, with orange detailing.

Inside the grey and orange-upholstered cabin you find a good amount of kit fitted as standard, including dark-tinted rear privacy glass, a height adjustable driver’s seat and three-passenger rear seat with 60:40 split/folding backrests, plus air conditioning, ESC stability control, an electronic locking differential (ELD), specially tuned suspension, mud-and-snow tyres and rugged bodywork protection.

Priced from £14,895 on the road, the Fiat Panda 4×4 Antarctica can be had with either 85hp 0.9 TwinAir petrol engine or a 75hp 1.3-litre MultiJet II turbo diesel. Both of these engines deliver excellent miles per gallon, but the petrol unit is a lot more fun because it makes a nicer noise, and it has a character that the diesel lacks.
