Gazoo Racing, Toyota’s racing and tuning partner, released a new video of their mysterious GRMN concept car based on the Toyota GT 86 sports car with a “Coming Soon” message which confirms a Tokyo Auto Salon debut. But what is this exactly?

Well, to find out we are going to have to wait a bit longer. But the footage they’ve released reveals a heavily modified version of the GT86 with a heavy dose of motorsport flavor:

You’d be forgiven for not recognizing this car as a Toyota GT86, since the front and rear fascia are both heavily revised. If anything, the car now looks more like the last generation Supra. Big headlights and big intakes dominate the front of the Gazoo Racing Toyota GT86 GRMN, while new taillights and a big rear spoiler give its rear-end a whole new look. There is also a sport hood and a racing interior with white bucket seats.

Gazoo will also be revealing a second GT86-based concept at the Tokyo Show, but there are no details currently available on that one.
