911 alter ego at Porsche 911 Rally Heritage Discussed by Jeff Zwart

Porsche 911 is widely known across the universe as one of the best track cars the human race has come up with. But the car has an alter ego: rallying. From the very early days there was always a side of the 911 that wanted to break free from the confines of the race track and devour forests and deserts. Porsche 911 Rally career may not be as glorious as its racing’s, but the car has proven its worth off the road on more than one occasion.

That is the subject of this interview with rally legend and seven-time Pikes Peak Champion Jeff Zwart:

In the video you first get to see Jeff’s assault of the Pikes Peak in his 911 rally car before the trip down the memory lane starts with rare footage of Porsche involvement in Rally Dakar. Jeff also gets to drive Porsche Museum’s Paris-Dakar winning Type 953, the four-wheel-drive 911 that led to the road-going 959.
