A few days ago we introduced a new version of the Rolls-Royce Ghost to you called the V-Spec. Now the British luxury maker has confirmed the details of the car and released new pictures, showing details of this special Ghost more clearly. Oh, and they insists we call it the Rolls-Royce Ghost V-Specification, not just V-Spec.
They do have a point. V-Spec sounds like you are talking about a Golf. V-Specification sounds a lot posher. At any rate, the Ghost V-Specification is built to celebrate the 6.6 litre V12 engine that has powered the car since its inception. Roller says this engine is “one of Ghost’s defining characteristics,” even though it is a BMW unit, and therefor German.
On this occasion, the V12 engine is boosted to deliver 30bhp / 22kw more power – up to 600 horsepower – which result in a slight reduction in 0-60 time, now dealt with in 4.7 seconds.
Rolls-Royce Ghost V-Specification also comes with special visual features, including V-Specification motif coachlines, five specially selected exterior colours, visible chrome exhausts and 21” part-polished wheels. Inside, the lavishly equipped cabin is garnished with treadplates, embroidery to the rear armrest and hand-applied steel inlays to the front multimedia screen lid. The cherry for the top of V-Spec cake is an exclusively designed clock with a black crown surrounding the face.
