One of the perks of being a sponsor for the upcoming Need For Speed movie for Ford is the opportunity to use the film’ hype to promote their products. In fairness though, the product they are promoting here is an absolute star in its own right. It’s the new 2015 Ford Mustang.

Granted, the film’s hero car is an old-generation, heavily tricked-out Mustang. But the new generation model will make a guest appearance towards the end of the movie, when everything is sorted and Aaron Paul can drive into the horizon with the girl – the perfect cliché.

The Mustang Need For Speed commercial is a good one, but we’re not sure about the message it delivers. How can a car help you forget about getting set up, convicted, and incarcerated? Does the Mustang have some sort of magical power? Or perhaps it comes with some kind of strong drug that helps you forget things!

About the film: Need for Speed is an upcoming 2014 American action film directed by Scott Waugh, written by George Gatins and John Gatins. Produced by DreamWorks Pictures, it is an adaptation of the Need for Speed series of video games by Electronic Arts. It stars Aaron Paul in the lead role and is scheduled for release through Touchstone Pictures on March 14, 2014.
