This year at the Geneva Motor Show a new bespoke Italian sports car will celebrate its birth. The Ermini Seiottosei is the result of a joint effort between Ermini and Osella, two prominent names in the sports car business, and it is more of a track monster than a luxury Riviera cruiser.
Ermini Seiottosei (686), is not really a looker, but the performance numbers speak for themselves. The car weighs – yep, you guessed it – 686 kg, and is powered by 2.0 liter engine turbocharged to make 320 horsepower. The power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a Sadev sequential gearbox for true racing car feel.
The carbon fiber-bodied sports car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.5 seconds and can reach a top speed of 270 km/h. The traction and stopping power are provided, respectively, by OZ racing rims and sticky Toyo tires and Brembo brakes with self-ventilating disk rotors.
As mentioned, Ermini Seiottosei is mainly designed for track work, which makes it prone to crash and destruction. That is a shame, because the body is a two-seater type “Barchetta” coachwork. There is now word on the cost of the car, but with such specs it is not going to be even remotely reasonable.
