The amazing Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge sports saloon has already caused quite a stir, what with its ripped-up body, exotic materials, and luxury interior. A new version of it is now coming to the Geneva Motor Show with one big difference: it has an engine. And by the looks of things, it is a jewel of an engine with “premium performance”.

Infiniti of course does not reveal many details about the new powertrain, just saying that it is the most powerful Inifniti ever. They are also quick to point out that the Eau Rouge not yet confirmed for production, but they are listening for feedback.

They’ve been clever too, and released this clip showcasing the soundtrack of the Eau Rouge Powertrain. With a sound like that, the feedback obviously is not going to be bad.

“With its Formula One-inspired carbon fiber bodywork, we thought it only fitting the Q50 Eau Rouge’s beating heart was suitably sporting. Our engineers have perfectly captured the tone of Infiniti’s take on premium performance, and a car that is as impressive as the Q50 Eau Rouge sounds is surely a car to challenge performance cars in the premium sector,” said Johan de Nysschen, President of Infiniti Motor Company Limited.
