Each year Chevrolet, the sponsor of the Super Bowl Postgame Show on FOX, awards the Most Valuable Player of the game with a free car. Last year they gave the winner Corvette Stingray. This year though, Malcolm Smith, Super Bowl XLVIII Most Valuable Player, got a pickup truck.
Mind you, it is no ordinary pickup truck, this. It’s the Chevrolet Silverado High Country, which is the Caddy Escalade of pickup trucks, fully-loaded and all chromed-up to be distinguished as a special thing.
The High Country’s unique features include a chrome grille with horizontal chrome bars, body-color front and rear bumpers and specific 20-inch chrome wheels with P275/55R20 all-season tires. Additional features include halogen projector headlamps, along with chrome body side moldings, door handles and mirrors. It also features a powerful V8 engine, so it is kind of like Malcolm in a way: big and powerful.
Malcolm Smith was chuffed with his Chevrolet Silverado High Country, but we have a sneaking suspicion he liked his Pete Rozelle Trophy, a silver trophy made by Tiffany & Co., better.
