Panoz, for those of who may not know, is an American sports car maker with roots in motorsport led by Dan Panoz. They are not celebrating their 25th anniversary, and is the case with such occasion, they are celebrating with a special edition car; a unique version of the Panoz Esperante Spyder.
Built from the ground up as a limited edition, the Panoz Esperante Spyder 25th anniversary model does not look remarkably different than the normal models, or Panoz LeMans racer, for that matter. That is, of course, intentional according to Panoz.
What set the Panoz Esperante Spyder 25th Anniversary apart is a besoke carbon/aluminum hybrid construction that makes it light and strong. The suspension is new too, as are the electronic systems, such as the ABS system, and the 19-inch BBS wheels.
As always, the meat of the package is a V8 engine. You can get a 5.0 liter with 430 horsepower, or a 5.4 liter supercharged with 575 horsepower. Or if you are mad, you can go for the Spyder GT which gets 800 horsepower.
Panoz Esperante Spyder 25th Anniversary models are, obviously, limited to 25 units. Prices start at a whopping $189,000.
