As we get closer to the start of the 2014 Formula One season in Melbourne this weekend, the anticipation continues to build. This year, F1 is once again using turbocharged engine, albeit in a very different format than the olden days. This has brought with it a whole host of new rules and regulations.

We have already looked at the new cars and their rather ridiculous appearances, and also pondered possible outcomes of the new changes. We even had a bit of fun with the drivers. Now though, Infiniti Red Bull has come up with a brilliant new clip that sums up all you need to know about the 2014 Formula 1 rules and the technical changes. This complements our comprehensive coverage of the events very nicely.

From Infiniti Red Bull: “At the start, thousands of car parts simultaneously assemble around Dan to form the RB10. As Dan races to catch up Seb in his RB9, the World Champion’s car becomes transparent while travelling at full speed. The film then presents a visual sequence that shows the 2014 regulation changes taking shape and coming to life, as Seb’s car transforms from an RB9 into an RB10. As well as providing information on the new technical changes for 2014, the clip also presents a unique view of the technology at work inside this year’s Formula One cars.
