After the Koenigsegg One:1 and Ferrari LaFerrari, it was almost a given that somebody would render the McLaren P1 in the now famous livery of Dubai Police. Now if someone else comes up with a Dubai Police Porsche 918, we can close this chapter and get on with our lives.
Come to think about it, these renderings are a good way to stump Dubai Police. They started out with the Lamborghini Aventador patrol car, which was fair enough. Then they added cars like the Ferrari FF and Mercedes SLS, and after that Aston Martin One-77 and Bugatti Veyron.
Things were getting out of control over there. Now the internet is challenging DP to get one of these cars it is proposing. They may have more money than sense over there, but even surely a Dubai Sheikh can see it is utterly stupid to spend millions of dollars on show cars that have no real benefit whatsoever.
The Dubai Police McLaren P1 you see here does not very good to be honest, but it is certainly impressive. And as for the practical stuff, well, it has a big wing at the back to which you can strap detainees, and a big electric motor that can be used to electrocute people.
