Seven-time Formula 1 world champion and the most famous name in motorsport, Michael Schumacher, is finally showing signs of consciousness and awakening. He has been in a medically-induced coma for the past three months following an skiing accident in France that resulted in severe head injury.
Michael’s manager Sabine Kehm said on Friday that he is making slow process, showing “moments of consciousness and awakening”. She didn’t reveal any further details, but her words were the first piece of heartwarming news for Schumacher’s fans in a long time.
A few days ago news emerged that Michael’s wife was preparing a $17 million medial facility at their home in Switzerland in order to get him out of the Grenoble hospital. With this latest development the previous plan will probably be canceled.
Hopefully our next update on Michael Schumacher’s condition will be about his full recovery.
