With the launch of Mercedes Coupe SUV Concept, which we know for a fact will soon become a production model in form of the Mercedes MLC, the sport activity fever rises again. More and more car makers are these days thinking about such a thing to stop BMW running away with the marketplace thanks to its X6.

Porsche does not have a plant to launch a coupe SUV thingy, but nevertheless, designer Theophilus Chin has come up with this rather nice renderings to show us what a coupe/activity version of the Porsche Cayenne would look like. This is what renderings are for, after all.

Theo himself admits that Porsche Cayenne Coupe SUV is probably a Frankenstein monster sort of thing, as his design is an amalgam of the Mercedes Concept SUV and a Porsche Cayenne. Sure, it’s not as handsome as the BMW X6, but hey, neither is Mercedes’s effort!

Witnessing the huge success of the X6, car makers believe people would respond well to this kind of styling, even though the sloping roofline means rubbish rear view, terrible headroom for the rear passengers, and an overall odd shape. It is a unique look though and one that definitely stands out. That is enough reason for a lot of people.
