Rolls-Royce Pinnacle Travel Phantom Unveiled in China

Most of the cars Rolls-Royce makes these days are ‘Bespoke’ models, which means they are heavily customized and individually tailored by a special department in the British car maker, appropriately named Bespoke. They are now unveiling their latest creation at the Beijing Auto Show, a special Phantom called Pinnacle Travel.

The China-only Rolls-Royce Pinnacle Travel Phantom is designed to celebrate the Chinese love of travel and the success of the Bespoke program in China. It is a showcase of the capabilities of RR’s Bespoke department, and an homage to the brand’s love of excessive luxury with opulent materials, unique colors, and the most beautifully hand-crafted marquetry ever seen in a Rolls-Royce.

On the outside, the Pinnacle Travel features a two-tone Madeira Red and Silver Sand, with a coachline in the same shade of red adorning the waistline. You can also opt for Infinity Black combined with Silver Haze or Melanite combined with Palladium.

Inside the magnificent cabin you find Morello Red and Seashell leather combinations for seats, roofliner, pillars and door cards plus specifically developed Morello Red lambs wool floor mats. But these are nothing compared to the complex marquetry featured on the wooden trims.

In total, Rolls-Royce Pinnacle Travel Phantom features 230 individual pieces of marquetry which combine to create the motif of a cross-continental train speeding across a landscape. This feature alone probably costs more than a normal luxury saloon!
