Americans have been trying to make a car with 2,000 horsepower for quite a while. Every once in a while a small firm announces their project for such a car with a staggering amount of power and huge speed, and even pens an awesome design for it. But they never get around actually making it. Here’s another ‘dream’ project, proposed by Trion Supercars.
Trion Nemesis is said to have 2,000 horsepower coming from a twin-turbo V8 engine. They don’t mention where the engine comes from, or what they’ve done to it to get that kind of power. They just say it makes 2,000 horsepower and will enable the car to do 270 mph. Good.
The Nemesis will feature a lightweight carbon fiber body on top of a chassis that Inconel elements. Trion seems to be getting a bit ahead of themselves, as they’ve addressed the issue of ergonomics, making sure the car can accommodate drivers of up to 6’4” before they even make a prototype or even put together a clay model or something.
Our favorite bit about the Trion Nemesis is its “Predator Mode” which, apparently, alters interior illumination, height, suspension, exhaust and rev limiter to suite the mode. You read that, and you realize the only place this car is going to exist is in a comic book.
