Looks like Jaguar is finally doing what they were supposed to do form the get go and equip the F-Type with a manual gearbox. What’s more, rumor has it the sports car is also getting an all-wheel-drive variant in order to give Porsche 911 a bigger headache than before.

The primary source of this news is Motor Trend’s editor Jonny Leiberman. He has been spilling the beans on many car secrets recently, and automakers are probably thinking why they say so much to him. He first confirmed the manual Jaguar F-Type and followed it up with a tweet announcing the addition of the all-wheel-drive version.

We are not sure if the four-wheel-drive F-Type is such a good idea, since one of the car’s best features is its hilariously loose back-end. But the manual F-Type is what every petrolhead in the land was asking for since the car’s inception. All of its rivals have a manual option, so why not F-Type?

There is a lot going on in the F-Type department at Jaguar at the moment. Apart from the manual and all-wheel-drive variants, we know that there is also a four-cylinder version of the car in the works. Some say a four-banger will sully the F-Type’s bloodline, but Jaguar believes there is a big market for it.
