Lamborghini has teamed up with Italian design house and coachbuilder Zagato to turn a Gallardo into this, the 5-95 one-off. Although this car is considered as Zagato’s contribution to this year’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, it is actually a customer car commissioned by Albert Spiess.
Zagato Lamborghini 5-95 is based on a Gallardo Lp570 model and features a completely custom body. The design of the car has a strong resemblance to Dutch supercar Spyker C12 from last decade, while evidences of Zagato touch are evident all over it, especially around the front of the car.
Zagato Lamborghini 5-95 also marks the 95th anniversary of the design house. Spiess, the owner of this car and one of the most significant Lamborghini collectors in the world, commented:
“I always appreciated the ability of Zagato to create timeless lines with a forceful visual impact. I believe that a sensual design inspired by nature, together with the best technology, strike a perfect balance that is possible to achieve only in Italy. The 5-95 will be a fundamental piece of my collection.”
