A few days ago Jaguar Land Rover announced the launch of a Special Operations Division for making custom and special edition models. Turns out they are keeping these guys pretty busy, as they have prepared a new model for debut at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Jaguar Land Rover SOD has not revealed any details about this exciting new model, but this past week they have been teasing us with the Range Rover Sport RS, so there is a good chance this is the car in question. There are new variants of the F-Type sports car in the work as well, and they may give us a sneak preview at Goodwood.
Apart from the SOD car, Jaguar is bringing to the festival their production F-Type R Coupe and XFR-S Sportbrake, plus a number of vintage models including the racing D-type, XJS TWR and XJR-9, ‘Group 44’ E-type, the Group-A XJS TWR and the 1988 Le Mans-winning XJR-9 LM. All these cars will see some action going up the Goodwood hill.
2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed will be held next week from 26-29 June.
