Minutes ago McLaren released details of their lineup for the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, and it includes a mysterious new model previewed here in this dark teaser image. The picture does not reveal much, but it does show the silhouette of that 650S. So the car in question is probably the track version of that car prepared by McLaren GT, the motorsport arm of the company.

As you may know the McLaren 12C also got a couple of different GT models, including a track-focused version for wealthy customers and an actual GT3 racing version. The same package is offered for the 650S, and it begins with the Goodwood-bound concept.

The mysterious McLaren concept will be joined at the Goodwood estate by the current production lineup including the 650S and 650S Spider and P1 hyper car. Interestingly, the P1 that’s coming to Goodwood is the same Amethyst Black model featured on BBC Top Gear with Jeremy Clarkson. After all, they are only making 375 examples of this million pound car. They don’t have many spares lying around.

McLaren F1’s number 1 driver Jensen Button will be present at the event. He’s finally recovered from his wasp injury and can once again appear in public. Another attraction go the 2014 FoS for McLaren fans is the McLaren Boutique which sells a new range of McLaren P1 and 650S-inspired products. There is even a McLaren Coffee House.
