The new Dodge Challenger Hellcat SRT has yet another good surprise for us! When they announced the car has an official power rating of 707 horsepower, we thought it is going to retail for at least $100K. but no. They just announced the MSRP for the 2015 Hellcat, and it’s $60K.
That is staggeringly good. It almost makes you think what is wrong with the car. I mean how can they sell a 700+ horsepower super car for the price of a mid-range 5 Series? But value for money has always been a huge part of muscle cars appeal, and the Hellcat is no exception.
Starting from $59,995, Dodge Challenger Hellcat comes as standard with Dodge’s most powerful V-8 ever producing 707-hp and 650 lb.-ft. of torque, world’s first application of TorqueFlite “8HP90” ultra-high performance eight-speed transmission, 7-inch multi-view cluster with “tic-toc-tach” gauges, and an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen.
As you would expect, other versions of the 2015 Challenger family deliver even greater value. The 485 horsepower Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack and 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker models start from $38,495, the 400 hp Challenger R/T from $31,495, and the 305 horsepower Challenger SXT from $26,995.
