A few days ago Mazda released pictures of the all-new Demio, better known to us as the Mazda2. This car is their entry-level supermini with no sporting credentials whatsoever. But just for funsies, X-Tomi decided to give the little guy a virtual MPS treatment.
Based on what we know from previous Mazda MPS cars, they tend to get flamboyant, over the top visual features like large spoilers and big hood scoops and such. As you can see X-Tomi has steered clear of all that with Mazda2 MPS, because, well, there really wasn’t enough room to work with.
Instead, they gave their Mazda2 MPS a sporty front bumper with black elements that complement the blacked-out roof and mirror caps, side skirts, and a set of large wheels from Mazda3. These seemingly small and unremarkable changes have a huge impact on the way the car looks. And the best part is, you can do this to your car at home with a scissor and a few piece of vinyl!
That’s the only way really you can get a Mazda2 MPS. Mazda themselves are not likely to greenlight this model for production because it doesn’t make much sense.
