Dodge Viper Time Attack Spotted in the Wild

Technically, this car is a SRT Viper Time Attack, as it was built in early 2014 when the Viper was still an SRT. But now SRT brand is gone and the Viper is a Dodge again, so let’s just call it a Dodge, shall we? Either way, the Viper TA is a pretty rare beast and seeing one in the wild is quite an occasion.

This particular Dodge Viper Time Attack, spotted in Kansas City in America, has a gorgeous metallic black paint work, complemented with bright orange TA emblems and Stryker badge. It also boasts black wheels which add to the menace of the way the car looks.

Dodge Viper Time Attack was SRT’s answer to the Corvette C6 ZR1, and in many ways it was a cover up for the company’s massive screw up. What they had done with the standard Viper was build a 600-something horsepower V10 super car that was slower and much worse to drive than the much older Corvette ZR1. So they went back to the drawing board and pieced together the Time Attack which managed to beat the ZR1, but only just.

Compared to a standard Viper, Dodge Viper Time Attack features a tuned 8.4 liter engine with 640 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. of torque, a carbon fiber aero kit including front splitters and rear spoiler, and special wheels and tires. TA’s production is limited to only 33 units.
