McLaren P1 had been spotted a number of times in and around the Pagani factory before. This time the British hyper car has been spotted with Horacio Pagani himself behind the wheel, which naturally raises a few questions.
But before we get to the questions, we should point out the P1 Horacio Pagani is driving here is the same special P1 MSO that was scooped a number of times in Monaco before going to Italy. It features bespoke paint job, wheels, and interior.
Now as to why Horacio is sampling the P1, we know that Pagani is developing a Nurburgring special edition of the Huayra which is said to be all about speed and performance, and of course Nurburgring lap times. The big boss is apparently trying to figure out how to match the P1’s level of performance without a hybrid system.
One way would be to shed weight, which means the Huayra Nurburgring Edition would lose its leather and metal interior and get a low-fat carbon fiber cabin. Another solution is to ask AMG to work their magic on the V12 turbo engine and push the output to beyond 1,000 horsepower. Either way, we shall soon find out all about it.
