Prefix Dodge Viper Convertible 600x298 at Prefix Dodge Viper Convertible Announced

The way things are going these days for Dodge and what’s remained of the SRT brand, chances are we are not going to see a convertible version of the new Viper. In fact, there is the possibility they might drop the whole thing altogether.

But if you are craving an open-top Viper, do not despair, because there is a company called Prefix and they are planning to launch their own Dodge Viper Convertible.

Shown here in this prototype, Prefix Dodge Viper Convertible is called Medusa and it features extensive modifications in terms of body work. But the end result looks really neat and tidy, almost as if it’s a factory car.

To make this Dodge Viper Convertible, Prefix had to chop the roof and the large rear window of the standard car, modify the boot, make a cubbyhole, and finally fit a retractable soft top. As you know, turning a coupe into a convertible is a humongous task and needs lots of careful engineering and testing. Let’s hope they’ve done all that.
