A while ago SEAT’s Leon Cupra 280 became the world’s first front-wheel-drive car to lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife in under 8 minutes. A few months after that Renault launched a special Megane RS which snatched that title from SEAT. Even so, they decided to launch a special performance pack to, belatedly, celebrate the achievement.
So they came up with the Sub8 Performance Pack for the Leon Cupra and it includes a bunch of high-performance parts that make the car faster and better at the race track. They include specially-designed 19-inch alloy wheels in either black or orange and body-coloured side skirts for £2,025, 30mm larger brake discs with Brembo four piston calipers, and semi-slick Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres for £460.
SEAT Sub8 Performance Pack reignites the rivalry with Renault by undercutting their prices for the same options by £540.
Besides the Sub8 Performance Pack, SEAT Leon Cupra also gets the Black-Line and White-Line exterior packages. The 500 quid package includes CUPRA 19-inch alloy wheels, door mirrors, CUPRA tailgate lettering and front grille surround in the chosen color, plus black rear side spoilers.
