It’s a little known fact that the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge concept is named after a high-speed corner in Spa-Francorchamps race circuit in Belgium. So it was only appropriate, now that the Q50 is a runner, to take the car there for a spin. The driver trusted with the job was no other than F1 champ Sebastian Vettel.

Four-time Formula One World Drivers’ Champion Vettel, as you may know, is an honorary Director of Performance at Infiniti; the company that sponsors his F1 team Red Bull. He’s been involved in the development of the Q50 Eau Rouge from the beginning and is now putting all his driving skills to work to make an epic promo video for the car.

Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge started life as a design concept and was gradually turned into a super saloon powered by the twin-turbo V6 engine of the GT-R. The car now has an excellent chance of getting produced in limited numbers.

“Even though it was difficult to get a proper feel for the car’s performance due to the wet track, the engineering team have made definite improvements to the car in the areas of steering and suspension since I first drove it earlier in the year,” said Vettel. “There is definitely no shortage of power from the Q50 Eau Rouge. All in all it was an interesting day and we had fun. It was a privilege to be given the task of driving the Q50 Eau Rouge on one of the most demanding corners in the world.”
