Our favorite rendering artist XTomi has already proven he is always on the ball when he released images of the Polestar and pickup versions of the new Volvo XC90 only a day after it was unveiled. Now he does it again with the Jaguar XE, mere hours after the car’s world debut in London.

What X-Tomi has done is envision what the upcoming Jaguar XE R-S, the high-performance version of the car, might look like. You can clearly see the styling cues borrowed from the XF R-S model in the front and rear bumpers, the wheels, ride height, quad tailpipes, and of course the big rear spoiler.

Chances are these rendering are pretty close to the real thing seeing as the XE itself does not look much different than the XF, which is a bit disappointing to be honest, especially as the BMW 3 Series and the M3 – the XE and XE R’s main rivals – are looking pretty good these days.

Jaguar XE R-S, and the less hot R version, will be powered by a supercharged V8, the specific output of which is yet to be determined. Jaguar already has a powerful supercharged V6 engine which they are going to use in the XE S model, and a lot of people may find that plenty fast enough. But there is no doubt there are faster XE’s in the pipeline.
